We aim to wash at the lowest temperature required to achieve the desired level of cleanliness. For everyday Laundry, this is usually between 20-30°C. On occasion, we will increase the temperature if required to properly clean an item, for example, we wash items with moth larvae at 55°C in order to properly get rid of it!
The dual benefits of washing at lower temperatures are that we consume less energy while lessening the degradation of the fibres in your clothes, actively extending their lifespan as a result. Talk about a win-win!
