Ozone gas is a powerful oxidizing agent proven to be highly effective in killing microorganisms that cause bad odours and bacteria on garments. It is typically used in healthcare, food/water, and even spacecraft disinfection. Although Ozone is very effective at decontaminating garments, it is also minimal-impact, making it a much more sustainable cleaning method than harsh chemicals that reduce the longevity of textiles. At Oxwash, we use Ozone chambers, as well as ozone-infused wash cycles to disinfect contaminated garments, ensuring they are fresh and hygienic before they are returned to you.
